Luis Felipe Chávez (b. 1996) is a queer visual artist from central-western Mexico, currently based in San Francisco. Working primarily in drawing and painting, his practice explores migration, labor, identity, and transformation through a cross-cultural, queer lens. Chávez studied Visual Arts at the University of Guadalajara. In 2020, he moved to California with a small body of work that marked a new chapter in his artistic journey. Centering the human figure, his work reflects on impermanence, memory, and the power of creation
